3.2. Biomass, lipid accumulation and fatty acid profile of C. vulgaris
The total lipid content of C. vulgaris with different inoculum
densities were shown in Fig. 5. All C. vulgaris of the five enhanced
groups could grow well and biomass productivities were more
than 200 mg L1 d1 in 6 days when inoculated in cathode chambers.
These results were higher than previous reports. Zhang et al. (2015) pointed out when C. vulgaris was cultured with 15%
CO2, the maximum specific growth rate was 100 mg L1 d1.
