In addition, when correlations between each fatty acid concentration were examined, positive correlations were confirmed for both men and women between ALA and PLA (r = 0.8727 in men, 0.9357 in women), ALA and OA (r = 0.8364 in men, 0.9250 in women), PLA and OA (r = 0.9455 in men, 0.9071 in women), AA and DHA (r = 0.8455 in men, 0.7714 in women), LA and OA (r = 0.8091 in men, 0.9571 in women), and EPA and DHA (r = 0.9455 in men, 0.9214 in women). Furthermore, other fatty acids in serum samples from women were significantly correlated (p < 0.01 and 0.05), while no other significant correlations (except for those mentioned above) were found in men.
