Richard: so, how did the interview go?
David: it went well, i think. Mrs. Porter, the woman in human resources, asked me lots of questions.
Richard: like what?
David: first, she asked me if i had any previous work experience. So i told her i'd had several part-time jobs. Then she asked how long i'd worked in my present job and wny i wanted to leave.
Richard: what did you tell her?
David: i told her i'd had my part-time job at teleNet for two years and that i wanted a change. Something more challenging, you know.
Richard: Especially now that you've finished college.
David: yeah. She also wanted to know what salary range i was thinking of.
Richard: how much did you ask for?
David: i didn't, actually. I said i was open to discussion.
Richard: did she give you a job description?
David: yes, and the position is just what i want. It involves managing new accounts, and there's lots of travel.
Richard: that's great. When will you know if you are still a candidate?
David: she told me not call them. She said they'll let me know one way or another next week.
Richard: i'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
