Among 1-MCP treatments, shelf-life
was maximum (7.33 d) with the 0.4 gm−3 treatment. Otherwise,
there were no significant differences between 0.4 and 0.6 gm−3 in
this respect. On the other hand, the appearance of untreated basil
leaves deteriorated very rapidly and resulted in the lowest shelf-life
(3.13 d) compared to the 1-MCP treated leaves.
