Thefirst two CCA axes were significant (P= 0.002) and jointly explained 12% of the total variation in phytoplankton data.Thephytoplankton–environment correlations for thefirst (0.865) and the second (0.789) axis were high, indicating a relatively strong relationship between phytoplankton and the measured environmental variables.
