While the role of
professionals is important,
the transition planning
process will be far more
effective if a student and his
or her parents are actively
involved in setting goals
and objectives and making
decisions about how to
achieve them...
Remember that over the
long term, family ties and
personal friendships will
outlive professional duty.
Professionals, even those
who are truly committed to
your child, will come and go.
