According to researchers at the University of Virginia, couples that tie the knot with a big wedding are more likely to be happy in their marriages down the road.
The researchers looked at 418 couples and tracked them through the first five years of their marriage. It was found that 47 percent of those whose wedding consisted of 150 or more atendees reported happy marriages. On the other hand, only 31 percent of couples with weddings attended by 50 or fewer people indicated they were happily married later on.
