The very close correspondence in larval morphology
of Sesarma angustipes from Brazil and S. ricordi from
Venezuela (Diaz & Ewald 1968) provides strong additlonal
support to Abele (1972a) who concluded from
comparison of adult specimens that these 2 species
Zrnl l z1w I I Zou Ill zw IV were synonyms. The same correspondence should also
be expected for S. roberti from Africa, since Hartnoll
Stage (1965) synonymized it with S. angustjpes.
