This research demonstrates a simple, rapid and sensitive voltammetric technique for determining the FA in biological medium. Characterization of the electrode showed an obvious increase in surface area and porosity after modification of carbon paste by gold nanoparticles. Electrochemical parameters such as pH and scan ratewere optimized and in the optimum condition, diffusion coefficient of FA was calculated. The results of electron transfer coefficient and electron transfer rate constant of FA represent the effective role of AuNPs as a modifier to facilitate the electron transfer kinetics and its effect on the electrochemical oxidation of FA.The modified carbon paste electrode by gold nanoparticles (AuNPs/CPE) at this study showed a low detection limit and great concentration linear range.
