2.6. Data analysis
Data analysis was performed using Minitab ver. 16.0 (Minitab Inc.,
USA, 2011). Two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to
assess the changes over time and treatment. One-way ANOVAS
followed by Tukey's Post-Hoc multiple comparisons were used to analyze
differences between control and treated oysters from the four
treatments; chiseling, jets, chiseling and jets, and air alone. When statistically
significant differences were found, the data were reanalyzed
using individual one-way ANOVAs to test the difference between
time-points. Differences were considered statistically significant at
p≤0.05.
