The plain-weave carbon fabric (C-120, SK Chemical, Republic of Korea) and PE powder (UR644, PE powder, Lotte Chemical, Republic of Korea) were used to fabricate carbon/PE composite BP-CFE assembly. The properties of the raw materials are shown in Table 1 and Table 2. Additionally, conductive particles were mixed with the PE powder to reduce the bulk resistance of the BPs. Considering the fiber diameter D of carbon fabric is around 7 μm, the spaces for the conductive particle of diameter d between the fibers were calculated by assuming the square and triangular arrangements shown in Fig. 2. Taking into consideration of particle size and price, carbon black (Ketjen black 600JD, Mitsubishi Chemical, Japan) was selected as a conductive particle, whose properties are listed in Table 3.
