This business of focus is worth a little more thought. Focus enables breadth, rather than restricting it. If you still have a manual-focus camera, you will know that when you look through the viewfinder at a landscape you want to photograph, you adjust the focus by concentrating on a single item. You pick out a tree or a building, and you focus on that. This brings the whole landscape into sharp relief; but it's done by close concentration on one thing.
