What or how much information to give to employees is difficult to judge and is often determined by the entrepreneur’s judgment. Historically, entrepreneurs tended to protect sensitive or confidential company information form anyone else by simply not making them privy to this information. Today, there is a tendency to tendency to take the opposite view, that the more information entrusted to employees, the more effective and creative employees can be. The argument is that employees cannot be creative unless they have a complete understanding of what is going on in the business.
