The adverb "very" is usually used with regular adjectives, not "strong" adjectives
This food is very nice. Your house is very big.
You can use the word "absolutely" with "strong" adjective (but not regular adjectives).
Mount Everest is absolutely enormous
I worked for ten hours yesterday, so in the evening i was absolutely exhausted
A : Is Canada a hot country? B : No, it's very cold in winter
I left the air-con on for too long, and now the room's absolutely freezing.
