This research aims to develop non-toxic seafood spoilage indicators in the form of label film, by incorporating butterfly pea extract into a PVA matrix. Due to the fact that the butterfly pea extract is a natural substance that is sensitive to temperature, light and oxygen, the color stability of the butterfly pea extract solution in various storage conditions will be investigated. The prepared PVA-butterfly pea extract films will be tested for their mechanical properties and ability to respond to NH3, a model volatile amine.
