One Repetition Maximum Test: Seven days before the fist experimental sessions, the load used for 1RM was determined for each subject in each exercise of the circuit training session.
Th test followed the American Society of Exercise Physiologists protocol25.
All participants started the test with a set of 5 repetitions using 50% of the self-reported maximum load and a set of 3 repetitions using 80% of the self-reported maximum load,with a 2-minute rest interval between sets.
Thee minutes aftr warm-up exercise, the 1RM test was started.
Th subjects had a maximum of 5 1-RM attempts of each exercise with 2 5-minute rest intervals between successive attempts.
For a repetition to be successful, the eccentric and concentric phase, as normally defied for the exercise, had to be completed.
During the training sessions, 60% of 1RM of each exercise was used
