Tomatoes
Tomatoes are native to Mexico and Central America, and the Aztecs grew them back in 700 A.D. In the sixteenth century, the Spanish conquistadores introduced tomatoes to Spain , and tomato's popularity spread quickly through Europe. The French loved tomatoes and called them "love apples". The Germans called them "apples of paradise". The British thought they were beautiful , but poisonous. And the Italians simple used them to make the best to tomato sauce there is, and they put it on their pasta.
