Dried seeds of Astragalus complanat

Dried seeds of Astragalus complanatus R.Brown. (Family: Leguminosae)
were obtained from Shanxi Weinan Pharmaceutical
Corporation (Shanxi, China) in December 2004 and identified by
chief pharmacist, Wu Yin-Sheng (Suzhou Drug Administration
Bureau). The voucher specimen (No. SAC/200504) was deposited
at the Herbarium of the College of Pharmacology, Suzhou University,
China. The total flavonoids from the seeds of Astragali
complanati was prepared by our group and stored in a refrigerator
at 20°C. It was a standardized extract. Previous works have led
to the isolation and identification of mainly constituents, including
Cannabiscitrin, Myricetin 3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside, Quercetin,
Quercetin-3-O-α-arabinoside, Calycosin-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside,
Ononin, Laricitrin 3-O-β-glucopyranoside, Kaempferol 3-O-β-
D-glucoside, Calycosin, Complanatuside A and Rhamnocitrin 3-O-
β-glucoside. The total flavonoids accounted for for 78%, and
Complanatuside A about 10% of FAC
