Salted Egg Health Skeptics Health Skeptics are unique to salted egg buyers and are notable for their significantly lower Healthy Product ratings (disagree to strongly disagree) and lower Price importance rating (not important to not at all important) compared to all other salted duck egg market segments. Results also suggest that Health Skeptics are different to Potentialists and Enthusiasts: they limit purchases due to health concerns, avoid Chinese imports, and are lower in their trust of the safety of imports into Canada. They also rated the country of origin product attribute significantly higher in importance compared to salted egg Potentialists and salted egg Enthusiasts. Compared to all other salted duck egg market segments, they rated price as unimportant. Overall, they have a comparatively negative attitude towards salted duck eggs. They account for 22% of salted duck egg buyers. Their neg tive attitudes should be a concern to the industry.
