of the butterfly, area: 750m2, depth: 0.60 m, planted with Papyrus),
and finally to the polishing ponds (the butterfly body, area: 200m2,
depth: 0.70 m). Treated effluent is stored in an underground reservoir
for reuse (irrigation) purposes. The final design was presented
at a public hearing, where all 150 delegates voted in favour of the
proposal on behalf of the entire population of Koh Phi Phi, prior to
project implementation.
