We stopped at Twiggs after a long motorcycle trip and were happy to find comfort food dishes on the menu: Australian beef steaks, homemade beef pie... Miam!
But the best thing about this place is the owners: John and Kookkai!
As soon as we arrived John noticed my boyfriend's Aussie accent and we started a nice conversation. We didn't have a place to stay yet so John took his phone and booked us at this very nice guesthouse close to his restaurant. How great is that?
After a delicious meal we got back on our bike and promised to stop again before we left Prachaup Kira Khan! After only 100 meters our motorbike stopped working so we had to push it to the guesthouse which was fortunately very close.
Being that this happened on the Friday night of Songkran weekend (Thai new year) we were a bit worried that we wouldn't be able to find a garage that could fix a big bike it this small coastal town.
That evening we went back to Twiggs for a great pizza and explained our problem with the bike to John and Kookkai and they immediately offered to introduce us to one of their friend who knows a lot about bike. After they closed the restaurant they took us to meet with their friend who called his mechanic friend and had a look at the bike....
To make a long story short the bike got fixed the next day and we were on our way...but before we left we made sure that we tried Twiggs eggs Benedict made with with fresh Hollandaise sauce and their homemade English muffin. Yummy! Amazing sauce!!
Thanks to this bike failure we got to discover the beauty of Prachaup Kiri Khan a most of all made new friends! We'll be back for sure!
