The spreadability of the formulation was determined by an apparatus which was set up in thelaboratory. The cream emulsion was placed between two glass slides, a 1000 g mass was placed onthe slides for 5 min to compress the sample to a uniform thickness, and excess cream was scraped off.A 120 g mass, M, was tied to the upper slide.
