Value is developed as an outcome of learning and experiencing the cultural setting where people live such as national culture, family culture, and society culture. Values also reflect people’s thought towards what is right or wrong. Even though individuals have different preferences towards values, values tend to be shared within specific cultures and organization (Shawyun & Tanchisak, n.d.). Generally, there are 9 values representing Thai culture, which are ego orientation, grateful relationship orientation, smooth interpersonal relationship orientation, flexibility and adjustment orientation, religio-physical orientation, education and competence orientation, interdependence orientation, fun and pleasure orientation, and achievement-task orientation (Thai National Character, n.d.).
