translation as a communicative means is becoming more and more necessary and important. Translation teaching has obtained more attention than ever before. In the past, whenever we mention the translation teaching, what appears in our mind is something about textbooks, notebooks, blackboard and chalks etc. With the popularity of computer, the medium of translation teaching has been changed and becomes more modernized and internationalized.
Computers have been used for language teaching ever since the 1960s. On the one hand, the development of computer has offered sufficient materials and advanced development for language teaching and teaching reform. On the other hand, it provides the possibility of applying advanced information and technology to translation teaching. The traditional translation teaching is the teacher-centered mode which focuses on the impartation of language knowledge, while the modem teaching idea requires the student-centered mode which pays more attention to the cultivation of students' translation competence and independent learning skills.
