Dear AVC Colleagues,
I would like to share some news with you about a key leadership change within Anantara Vacation Club. Rob Martini has informed me of his wish to retire from Anantara Vacation Club, effective 31 October 2013. Rob will finally be slowing down a little, after a career spent in intensive full-time sales leadership roles. He will be spending more well-deserved time with his wonderful wife Lyn and their daughters, based at his home on the beautiful Australian Gold Coast.
I have known Rob for over 15 years, and we have worked together many times, in different companies and different countries. Over that period I have always been able to rely on his intelligence, business sense, deep commitment and passion for our industry. Rob’s astuteness and experience in structuring and building professional sales organizations marks him out as one of this industry’s leading figures in Asia Pacific. His legacy will be literally tens of thousands of satisfied customers of branded timeshare companies, and also many hundreds of sales professionals who have seen their skills, career prospects and earnings enhanced by working under Rob’s guidance and leadership.
So I have very mixed emotions today. As the leader of our business I am very sorry that Rob will be leaving us, but as a friend I am delighted for him as he embarks on a new chapter in his life. I know you will join me in wishing him the very best for the future, and he will always be remembered for his role in helping create and lead the Anantara Vacation Club from our conception to where we are today.
Yours sincerely,
Harold Derrah, CEO
