The nursing accreditation system is a distinct system
in Taiwan and has been in place for 19 years. Research
is needed to investigate whether the system contributes
to critical patient outcomes (e.g. patient safety). With
knowledge about the link between nursing accreditation
level and patient outcomes, governments may consider
building accreditation systems to encourage nurses to
pursue growth in their professional capabilities. Such an
investigation can also offer insights for global health
system builders.
