This excerpt from my Rhetorical Genre Analysis shows that I acquired a vast amount of knowledge from my genre analysis. I described the conventions of the three rhetoric devices found within the genres and their significance to the medical field. The physician needs to establish him/herself as a credible source by using the correct medical terminology. This will ensure his/her notes be taken seriously. After establishing ethos, the physician must give evidence to support the findings in his notes, or they will seem deficient. Physicians must also be passionate about achieving their goal of treating the patient, and must share this passion with their readers. All these elements are needed to write efficiently. Through my evaluation of these rhetoric devices show that I can effectively describe and analyze the various conventions in the genres utilized by my discipline.
