TESTING METHODOLOGYThe proposed light source is characterized based on thethree common international standards: spectral match, spatialuniformity and temporal stability [7]. Qualitative analysis onthe performance of the light source setup is given to illustrateits usefulness in practical laboratory-grade solar cell testing,without investing large upfront testing equipment costs. Theanalysis of the proposed low-cost Tungsten light setupfurther provides a comparison with commercial solarsimulators. The characterization of the light setup presentsthe low-cost arrangement as a complementary tool forscientist to test laboratory grade solar cells, rather than withthe intent to replace high-end commercial solar simulators intesting and certification scenarios.
