Min Ho’s eyes widened in mock surprise, a smile playing on his lips. ‘What did I do this time? I’m just enjoying breakfast. Every bite.’ He picked up one of the apple slices and ate heartily without taking his beady eyes off her.
Shin Hye buried her face in her hands. ‘Oppa, stop,’ she said, her words muffled. ‘I’m going to get indigestion if you keep doing this.’
Min Ho let out a naughty laugh. ‘What are you talking about? I’m not doing anything.’
When Min Ho still wouldn’t stop staring at her, she blocked her eyes with one of her hands and continued to eat.
Min Ho reached over and pushed her hand away. Shin Hye blocked her eyes again. He didn’t surrender and pushed it away in response. Soon, they were both chuckling, their hands playfully swatting each other. Min Ho caught her wrist and gripped it tightly. He narrowed his eyes at her. ‘Why are you being shy all of a sudden?’
‘I’m not,’ she blushed.
‘You are. Look at you, your cheeks are red.’
‘They’re not!’ She yanked her wrist free from Min Ho’s grasp and placed her hands on her cheeks.
‘If you say so,’ he said nonchalantly. ‘Keunde… can we talk about what happened last…’
‘STOP,’ Shin Hye interrupted him, her eyes wide and pleading. Min Ho knew by the way she kept avoiding his gaze that she was still shy about everything that transpired between them last night. He thought it was the cutest thing.
‘Arasso,’ Min Ho replied. ‘As long as you know that it’s easily the best…’
‘OPPAAAA!’ Her shrill voice filled her apartment. ‘You can’t just…’ she looked down sheepishly. ‘Anya. Let’s eat in peace before we get into another fight.’
Min Ho folded his arms and continued staring at her. ‘I don’t mind fighting. Haven’t you noticed? Whenever emotions get the best of us, we end up making out.’
‘MEO?’
‘Think about it,’ Min Ho replied. ‘I'm starting to believe that we're the type that whenever we get agitated, we need skinship to help patch things up. Kissing especially does the trick. See what happened a while ago?’
She frowned. ‘You kissed me on your own!’
‘True. But not so fast,’ he wiggled his index finger then pointed at her. ‘We were in the middle of a discussion last night when you kissed me first.’
Shin Hye was about to protest, but stopped when she realized it was true. She drooped her shoulders in resignation. ‘You’re making it sound like I took advantage of you.’
‘You did,’ Min Ho replied, nodding his head.
‘MEO?! You’re joking, right?’ She asked him through gritted teeth masquerading as a smile.
Min Ho grinned. ‘Oh. Is this officially a fight? Because I'm ready to kiss and make up now.’
‘YA!’ Shin Hye stood up and balled her fists. ‘I changed my mind. You can leave now.’
He also rose from his seat, a grin still plastered on his face. ‘Ooooh. I can sense a make out session definitely happening any second now.’ He took a step closer toward her.
‘Don’t come nearer,’ she said, taking a step back. ‘Hajima.’
Min Ho ignored her and took another step, his eyes steely. She let out a tiny screech before sidestepping to the direction of the living room, avoiding him completely. Min Ho followed her and caught her arm before she can make a beeline for her room. Min Ho pulled her in and put his arms around her. Shin Hye knew that it was useless to try and break free.
He lowered his face to whisper in her ear. ‘Just so you know, I’m barely holding it in right now. I’m not going to kiss you because... well, I’m a man in love, and there’s only so much I can take,’ his voice was sweet and affectionate. He pulled away and was met by Shin Hye’s curious expression. ‘Being just this close to you is even pushing it,’ he continued. ‘So why don’t we do something else? What do you want to do? I’m all yours for the next couple of hours.’
Shin Hye tilted her head and puckered her lips as she thought about it. Min Ho’s gaze unavoidably landed on her mouth and all he could do is draw in a resigned sigh. Okay, this is getting REALLY hard.
‘Oppa, I thought of some things but all of them involve going outside,’ she replied dejectedly.
‘Well, is there anything you want to do just here…?’ He asked cautiously. Because I have a few ideas.
‘Do you want to watch Heirs?’ She asked.
‘Huh? Why?’
Shin Hye frowned. ‘I don’t know, I can’t think of anything else.’
I can, Min Ho thought.
‘What did you say?’
Min Ho took a step back and scratched his head. ‘Did I say that out loud?’
Shin Hye shrugged. ‘WAIT. Let’s go to your secret spot.’
‘I'd love to, but that’s almost an hour drive. And we can’t do much there since I have to be back before one in the afternoon.’
‘Ah, yeah,’ Shin Hye sulked again. ‘How about you, oppa? What do you want to do?’
You’re not going to like it if I tell you. ‘Anything you want to do,’ he smiled. That was the most diplomatic answer he could give.
‘So watching Heirs is out?’
‘Why do you want to watch our drama? We’ve already seen it together during the shoot for the Director’s Cut DVD.’
