Every major city has a shopping area that is known world-wide. New York has Fifth Avenue,London has Oxford Street and Paris has the elegant Champs-Elysees. Los Angeles has its designer shops on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. If you visit these areas you will always find them full of shoppers who have come from all over the world. Part of the reason is that these areas are in architecturally interesting parts of the cities where the atmosphere adds to the experience. Of course many of these areas have the latest designs and showcase new shopping trends, but they can be very expensive and you might not necessarily find the best deals. For example, Tokyo's Ginza has some of the world's highest prices. Singapore's Orchard Road, on the other hand, offers world-class bargains.
