I was disappointed, because, as a Disney film, I assumed the target audience was families and children, yet the movie was somewhat violent, somewhat hopeless, and a little bit dark. The movie gives the message that destiny is in our own hands, not God’s hands. The movie leaves the viewer to believe that they can fix the world just by being positive (not by repenting of sins and turning back to God). Clearly the movie shows evil will exist, but if everybody could just stop focusing on the doom and gloom of society and learn to be positive, the world could be saved. This implied message was very deceptive. It ends positively, but the overall message is we don’t need God… we just need to create our own destiny.
My Ratings: Moral rating: Very Offensive / Moviemaking quality:
