No L. monocytogenes and C. jejuni were detected from any of the milk samples in our study. As reported by previous studies, the prevalence of L. monocytogenes in bulk tank milk samples has ranged from 0 to 5% (Jami et al., 2010). Similar to our results, in a few studies conducted in other parts of Iran, the incidence of L. monocytogenes in milk and dairy products was reported 0% in center and 1.6% in west of Iran (Mahmoodi, 2010).
