Of 765 peanut nodu-lating bradyrhizobial isolates, none could inhibit A. niger growth in
plate assays. Three hundred and fifty additional PGPR isolates were
screened to obtain PGPR that could inhibit A. niger growth, and a to-tal of 11 isolates were found to inhibit A. niger growth in plate assays
by 17.98–67.81%. These PGPR isolates were also able to colonize
peanut roots in the range of 7.17–9.84 log cfu per cm root afte
