My name is Punnasiri Phaopongparith. Eve is my nickname. I'm graduated from faculty of Humanities, Chiangmai University. I'll get a Bachelor of Arts (English for Communication). My family has 5 people lived together, Mom, Dad, Grandmother, and younger twin sisters.
I am a Buddhist and I always participate in the Buddhist activities such as going to temple, praying, and make merit. However I believed in God and be like a Christian because when I was young , I studied in Christian school and I loved to read a Bible, and even to a church service as well as Christian fun activities with children too.
When I stayed at home, I took care of 2 sisters aged since they are a newborn and it's also on going. My responsibilities weregetting them ready for school and helping them with their homework, preparing meal for them as well as putting them to bed. During the day time, If they didn’t attend the school yet. I always played games, sang a song, read to them and taught them to read an easy book. On the weekend, I organized and took part in recreational indoor and outdoor activities with the children. For instance, taking them out to the waterfall or the park, visiting the public library and going to the public zoo. I think it is a great time during with my children.
I had an opportunity to work with the Krung Thai Public Card, where work about Credit card since 2011 until present. and the last year I got a part time job for taught Thai language for foreign people and Cadet student. I work as a motivational speaker and a trainer. My responsibilities are tutor my student (aged 12-17 years old) how to have a good skills in Thai. I had powerful and fun children’s curriculum to continue motivating, educating and empowering the children to make positive choices and share experiences or tell stories that encourage and move children to stay away from drugs, alcohol and other harmful actions too.
It's very hard to do many things in the same time but I always do my best.
More over I be a part of Thai Vegetarian association. It is an Agencies for campaigns to reduce meat diet to maintain health and environmental impacts. This organization also help to protect children who vulnerable, poor and at risk.
I love to be and Au Pair because I actually get to see what the culture is like from a very realistic point of view. Unlike a lot of study abroad programs or travels with friends, where I end up spending most of my time with People of different cultures out of comfort and convenience, I am immediately immersed in a family of that culture and get to see the ins and outs of everyday life. It’s getting to see a portrait of life in another country that you would often never get to experience.
And I love to travel with the family. A lot of au pairs — even most — go on at least a few vacations with their host family. This was just in a year. And, best part of all, it’s entirely free.
More over Au Pairs are students, too. The laws ensure I don’t work more than a certain number of hours a week because they are students, as well. It’s a job that works with my studies, not against them.
I hope the host family becomes like real family. and I want to watch the little ones grow. Throughout my time as an au pair, and afterwards as you stay in contact, you get to watch these little children grow and change and become incredible little people. (And yes, the kids will always remember you.)
I think if I can be and Au Pair, my childcare skills go through the roof. I hadn't been an Au pair before but I am a Older-sister and I am a teacher. The connection I form with the children is on a whole different level, and you become like a big sibling or cousin to them, getting to know and work with them like outside childcare workers often can’t.
And I love to teach a language. Watching a little kid absorb My language and mannerisms and expressions as I spend time together are one of the coolest and most fulfilling things ever.In addition I get to learn their language too. Even if I already speak the language when I arrive, there is always something new to learn from hearing a toddler speak it.
I can describe myself as cheerful, friendly, positive and open-minded. I think I will get a good experience from the Au pair program because I love working with children, I am always happy when I see an increase of their development progress as well as when children are healthy and happy. Furthermore, I love to learn new things. I would like to learn new culture and at the same time share my own culture. I would like to gain more experiences which I cannot find anywhere in Thailand. I am ready to be in the new environment and new traditions. I also enjoy travelling abroad and seeing the world.
Kind regards,
Punnasiri Phaopongparith
