In the present study, 16-wk dietary EGCG treatment significantly
decreased BW in mice fed a high-fat diet. This was
evident in both long-term experiments (Expts. 1 and 2). The BW
gain was larger in Expt. 2 compared with Expt. 1; this may have
been due to the fact that the mice in Expt. 2 were younger at the
start of treatment.
