Antimicrobial tests in solid LB medium were determined as the following procedures, Briefly, A small volume (100 μL) of bacterial suspension with high concentration (10 6 CFU/mL), was aseptically plated onto the LB medium; next the aliquots equivalent of shell- Ag were put on the center of the filter paper (10 mm in diame- ter) respectively; it is noted that the as-obtained shell-Ag samples were sopped in 20 μL sterile distilled water before using, which was then adhered to the surface of LB. Finally, the bacterial in- hibition zone was observed with 24 h cultivation. The primitive Artemia shell was also used as a control group. Prior to starting the experiments, all the relevant substances, including the filter paper, resultant shell-Ag, and primitive Artemia shell, were subjected to sterilizing at 121 °C for 15 min.
