Situated outside the town wall in the northwest corner,
this ancient monument contains a huge seated Buddha inside a tall and narrow mondop, or shrine,
enclosing only one major statue.
Six structures of the complex survive:
the main Mondop, the large congregational hall, called wihan, the small mondop, the small wihan, and two chedis.
The Mondop, the largest structure in the complex, is 32 metres square, 15 metres high and the walls are 3 metres thick.
