What is it?
As aging begins, the eyelids become droopy as well as the eye opening muscle (levator muscle) becomes loose. These symptoms can cause “ptosis” in the eye(s) and accelerate the aging process by forming wrinkles around the eyes and forehead. Upper blepharoplasty uses a full incision along the crease to remove excess fat and sagging skin for a youthful eye appearance. If necessary, ptosis correction is performed together to strengthen the weakened eye opening muscle.
