The relationship between human resources management practice and Employee job satisfaction has always been
contentious. The study therefore, set out to examine and indeed ascertain the true state of such relationship using the
Nigerian Breweries as a case study. Survey design was adopted in the gathering of the primary data. Questionnaire
was designed and administered on some staff of the organization. The data gathered was analysed using regression
method and Pearson's correlation. The result of the study indicates that recruitment and selection, training and
development, performance appraisal and compensation (human resources management practice variables) jointly and
independently predict job satisfaction. It is recommended that to improve competitive ability organizations need to
recruit and retain competent staff. This can only be done through good human resource management practices.
