All diets for the 3 periods were isonitrogenous (218.2, 205.6, and
191.6 g CP/kg of the diet for the starter, grower, and
finisher period, respectively) and isoenergetic (13.02,
13.17, and 13.11 MJ of ME/kg of the diet for the starter,
grower, and finisher period, respectively), having the same
level of the amino acids Lys, Met, and Cys, according to
NRC (1994) nutrient composition values.
