Mechanical properties
The mechanical properties were analyzed using a LS1
tensiometer instrument (Lloyd material testing) equipped
with a 1 kN load cell. The experiments were conducted in
tensile mode where stress vs. strain curves was recorded.
Rectangular film strips were fixed to both arms of the
tensiometer instrument and the upper arm was pooled
upwards at a speed of 5 mm/min. The Young modulus was
calculated from the slope of the stress–strain curve at strains
lower than 5%. The final results are an average of ten
replications. Statistical data analysis were performed using
standard t tests with p < 0.05 as the minimal level of
significance.
