Mission
Our mission is to form a partnership to improve the lives of all individuals especially children with learning difficulties and disabilities by supporting and developing parents, educational professionals and mainstream communities’ capacity to respond to the needs of children with learning disabilities (CWLDs) through research, training, public education and advocacy, self- help groups, counseling , therapy and transition support.
OBJECTIVES
1. To develop a strong learning disability and parent’s self-help groups, effectively advocating for, and supporting their members’ needs
2. To develop parents, educational professionals and mainstream communities’ capacity to respond to the needs of children with learning disabilities (CWLDs).
3. To use the Convention on the Rights of children (CRC) and Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) to advance the human rights of children with learning disabilities.
4. To improve access to good quality basic education, retention and attainment for CWLDs
5. To conduct research into Learning Disabilities in order to inform service delivery gaps and policy development in Ghana
