Silk
Silk is a long continuous strand produced by worms that eat mulberry leaves.
The worms spin cocoons with their saliva when they become larvae to pupae in their life cycle.
The fiber they produce can be drawn from the cocoons and ground into a long thin wire, which is then woven in silk garment.
The cultivation of silkworms and developing silk weaving techniques began in China around 2700 BC Av.
Silk was a high value product at this time and a trade route from China to the Mediterranean was opened and called the Silk Road.
In Thailand, traces the excavations of Ban Chiang suggest that the independent production of silk already existed at that time .
