Herbal Teas, such as Chamomile, Ginger Tea, or Peppermint, are really not tea at all. This is because herbal tea is NOT made from Camellia Sinensis. It is made from seeds, roots, flowers, or other parts of plants and herbs. As a result, herbal teas are nearly always caffeine free. Herbal tea does not have necessarily the same health benefits as regular tea. There are many types and varieties of herbal tea, some may be combinations of herbal and tea ingredients, so read label carefully.
