NG8 % had the highest numerical survival, which suggests that the effect of each type of seaweed meal on survival was different due to different active principles.
Each probably has an optimum at different concentrations, and
higher concentrations do not necessarily give better results as seen in the NG8 % diet that
had less consistent survival. The results obtained by Rivera et al. (2002) in assessing brown
seaweed in three concentrations (10, 15 and 20 %) found the best survival rates at concentrations
of 10 %.
