The people that live here on the Eastern Half of the Planet Earth are almost all Buddhist. The normal tenants of Western Civilization and more particularly the West Preferred Religion, Christianity, do not apply here. Sunday for instance is a major day of recreation with all stores and shops open and the streets are crowned with people, its much like Saturday night in the States.
Ive found the people to be extremely intelligent, healthy, pleasant, low key and respectful of others.
Sorry but I don't think that they are all going to burn in some sort of eternal hell because they don't believe in Western Civilizations version of Christianity. There is no way the God is destroying the Eastern Half of the Planet Earth for the benefit of the Western Half. They don't seem to be too worried about it. I took this picture at a Temple that overlooks the area that Im staying in. This is one Big Buddha and he seems to be doing his job as the whole area if flourishing with booming construction and a vibrant economy.
