very extensive information is required from a quoted company, broadly speaking to the extent necessary to understand its business (ss.417(5) and (6)). This should include information about environmental matters, employees, social and community issues, and analysis using key performance indicators (ibid.). Controversially, it extends to information about persons with whom the company has contractual or other arrangements essential to its business, with only a limited exception where disclosure would, in the directors’ opinion, be seriously prejudicial to that person and contrary to the public interest (ss.417(5)(c) and (11)).
