4. Conclusions
Experimental results show that solubility of palm fatty acid distillate
in the gaseous phase increases with density. The Ki values of
palm fatty acid distillate compounds increase in the following order
KSqualene > KC16 > KC18.1 > KC18.2 due to the different solubility’s ofthe
pure components in supercritical carbon dioxide indicating that
palmitic acid and squalene are enriched in the extract while oleic
and linoleic acids are enriched in the raffinate. For all the isobars,
the selectivity increases as the temperature increases.
