2.4. Coloration of wool fabrics by silver NPs
The wool fabric was colored with silver NPs by a wet chemistry
method through an immersion process. Briefly, the pH value of the
silver NP solutions was adjusted to 4.0 with acetic acid. And then
the wool fabric was added to the silver NP solutions, the ratio of
wool fabric to sliver solution was 1 g to 100 mL. The temperature
of the solution was raised from 25 to 40 C over 10 min and held
at 40 C for up to 2 h in an oscillating water bath. Afterward, the
treated wool fabrics were rinsed with running deionized water to
remove the silver NPs adsorbed on the fiber
