5. A comparison between the ventilation rate induced by turbine ventilator and the ventilation rate in regulations
In this research, we calculated the ventilation rate required for conventional bathrooms according to the ventilation-related laws and regulations from domestic and abroad table 1). As metter of fact, the criterion of mechanical ventilation rate varies greatly and is adjusted from place to place in terms of the local environment, air quality indoors and outdoors), weighted importance of economical factors(the bigger the mechanical ventilation rate is, the more inergy is cosumete), local habit/tradition (the level of living quality required by the residents). From the table, we show that great difference can he observed with different laws and regulations even under the single item of ventilation rate in bathrooms in normal residences.
